From 2004-2010 James Murphy worked for four marine repair organizations, expanding his knowledge and skills in the marine business. He became disillusioned, seeing unethical practices. He knew he had to strike out on his own.

So, in November 2011 JEM Marine opened in Stuart, Florida on Monterey Road. A family business was conceived founded on excellent customer service and dedication to superior workmanship in everything we did. In keeping with those values, word of mouth referrals and positive reviews increased Jem Marine’s business. Before long the ¾ acre site was becoming cramped and the need to increase space to allow for the increase in work requests was apparent. So plans were in motion to expand.

In 2020 JEM Marine purchased Hobe Sound Marine LLC on US Hwy 1. Remaining the business JEM Transport &Marine Services now providing a full range of service capability. Within less than year becoming a regional Honda dealer.

Annual services, tune ups/oil changes, warranty servicing, 20-hour checks, troubleshooting and diagnostic services, electrical repair and installation, repower, engine installation, battery replacement, monthly service checks, custom electronic installations, refinishing and refurbishing of interior and exterior of boats, pressure washing, boat storage: short and long term, vessel shrink wrap.
